Runners run along the Alaskan Way Viaduct during the Rock 'N' Roll Marathon in Seattle, WA in june 26, 2010.  The marathon course ran up and back on the viaduct with these photos documenting from the Comubia St. onramp, towards the western ave. tunnel on the bottom deck; then heading back towards the Port of Seattle on the upper deck.  Only full marathon runners (26.2 miles)ran on the viaduct portion of the race.  Over 27, 000 runners and walkers participated, from 50 states and 23 countries, according to race press releases.  Proceeds were said to benefit the American Cancer Society.  Live bands were featured on both courses at each mile.  The viaduct was planned to shut down from 5:30am until 2pm.  Photographs in this collection were shot of the city and bay as well.
