Hannah Mueller, DVM, co-founder and vice president of the Northwest Equine Stewardship Center and practice owner of Cedarbrook Veterinary Care, brushes off loose hair, dirt and scabs from horses on Summer Raffo’s farm in Oso, Washington on April 1, 2014. The 16 horses belong to Summer Raffo, who died in the Oso mudslide on March 22, 2014. Along with help from another vet and volunteers the horses received basic vet care, grooming and were fed fresh hay.
